Review--Eyes on You by Kate White
Robin has just started a new job and is about to release her first book. RIght now, is seems as if life couldn't get any better for her. When a series of strange events begins to happen, Robin has to figure out exactly who is trying to sabotage her career. There are a few people it could be and right now Robin isn't sure who she can trust.
This book held my attention from start to finish. It was hard to put down. The book had a little bit of everything in it. A little thriller, a little romance, some conspiracy and murder. All throughout the book, you think you know who is going to be the one doing all of the dirty work. There seems to be so many suspects. Is it the handsome co-host? The ambitious intern who is desperately trying her best? The veteran at the station who will stop at nothing to stay on top and relevant? The associate producer whose story ideas always seem to fall a little short.
I could not put this book down. I had to know what was going to happen. I stayed on the edge of my seat. There was even one part where I shouted, "Holy Shit!" out loud. Luckily, I wasn't any place public when that happened.
This was a great book. One of the best that I have read this year. I look forward to reading more from this author.
I read this book as a part of Overdrive's Big Library Read.

Review--Epubor E-Book Converter
I love it when I get a new book. Whether it is a physical copy or an electronic version. I, personally, am a Kindle user. I was gifted one about five years ago and I have been attached ever since. Unfortunately, not everyone shares my infatuation with the Kindle, and so there are multiple versions of e-books out there, not always compatible with my reading device.
Sometimes, I'm given a book that is not easily accessible through my Kindle. In that case, I have to sit at my home computer and read or use my phone where I can access a reader other than Kindle(although that is on my phone as well), but reading on my phone and computer are not ideal for me, at least not when I want to dive into a book for a good hour or more. So what's a girl to do?
Luckily, there is a company out there called Epubor. They offer an incredible converter that allows you to convert any version of an e-book you may receive to the format that best suits your reading needs. So....how does it work? Visit the Epubor site. Click on the e-book converter and download the version you need. They have it available for Windows or Mac. They even offer a free trial version. But get it now, because currently they have a huge discount if you buy it (was $59.99, now $24.99).
I have tried a few other converters and DRM removers. There are so many steps you have to take to get the book to the format you want. One I tried, I had to save the book in different formats first before it converted it--what a pain. Epubor is so easy, books are converted in just a few steps.
- Upload the current version of the book you have to your Epubor converter.
- Select the version you want.
- Send the converted version to your device
It's that simple! Try Epubor today!!

Review--Jemima J by Jane Green
Jemima J: A Novel About Ugly Ducklings and Swans by Jane GreenMy rating: 3 of 5 stars
Jemima Jones is overweight. She is aware of this fact and she's okay with it. She loves models and magazines and frequently cuts out their pictures and tapes them to her wall. Currently she writes the Top Tips for the Kilburn Herald in London. She would like to right features, like her friend Geraldine, but right now, she enjoys "proofing" the copy. She has a crush on another colleague, Ben Williams and occasionally, the three hang out. Ben is crushing on Geraldine, while Jemima is crushing on him. After an internet seminar given by the newspaper, the trio decides to check it out what all the internet hype is about for themselves. When they find a chat room called Cafe LA, Jemima becomes JJ and her world is flipped upside down.
JJ meets Brad in the chatroom and after talking for a while, they exchange photos. Brad is a hunk and JJ is smoking hot, but Jemima is not and before she agrees to meet Brad in person, she has to lose about 100 pounds. With this goal Jemima sets out to join a gym and get a personal trainer and the weight falls off. Armed with a new body and a new attitude, JJ is off to LA to meet Brad. Is he going to be the man in the pictures? Will they fall madly in love and will she finally get the man of her dreams?
Many women can relate to Jemima J. She is self conscious about herself and how the world perceives her. I could see myself in her shoes. I was afraid for her when she went to meet a man on the other side of the world that she had met on the internet. I wanted Ben to see her as more than a friend. I wanted her roommates to not be such idiots. Jemima is a character that you can understand and root for.
Second Title in Take Control of Your TBR 2015.

How Are You Readin'?
The Ways I Read
I have two Kindles that I use to read on. My Kindle keyboard which I do not keep linked to wi-fi and the original Kindle Fire. I use that mostly at night to read when everyone has gone to bed. Every once in a while, I will also read on my phone. This is my least favorite way. My phone is way to small and making the font bigger just doesn't do the job. But, when I have to, I do use the phone and mostly use the Aldiko app for that.
Kindle Fire, Kindle Keyboard, Android Phone
On the rare occasion when I get a book that I can't read through any of the above mentioned devices, then I will read through my computer on Adobe Digital Editions. This takes me a lot longer to get through a book because I don't want to sit in front of the computer for that long.
I also have started to listen to a lot of books through my iPod. I never have been a big audiobook listener, but it does make the time pass a lot quicker while cleaning the house. I can usually get through a book, depending on it's length, in 1-3 days. It's quite convenient, and I can borrow one from the library online and have it on my iPod within 10 mins. I borrow all of my audiobooks from Overdrive.
iPod Touch
Finally, and the most traditional is a good old book!! Something you can touch, feel, smell. Something you can use your fancy bookmarks in. Hardcover or paperback, it doesn't really matter to me. I will always read physical books. It may not be as often as it was years ago, but I can't give them up!
Hardcover or Paperback
No matter what or how you read, it's a great hobby to have. Books can take you to faraway places, or teach you something new. You can connect with millions of people all over the world, just from reading the same book.
Please share with me in the comments below how and what you're readin'!!
