Reviewing Slump!!

Happy New Year to all of my fellow readers!!  As 2017 drew to a close, I received some unsettling news about my health.  I'm still trying to get all the answers.  This news unfortunately, has sent me into a writing/reviewing slump.  I'm still reading and finished 4 books since I posted my last review.  But I haven't had the stamina to go back and write about these books except for a little one paragraph synopsis so that I can go back later and do the full review.

My plans were to do more blogging in the new year, I hoped to bring more content and more reviews.  I've set up my reading challenge for 2018 and have decided to go with 10 more books than last year, so I'm shooting for 85.  Also, I want to post on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with the goal of posting reviews on Monday, stick with Winning Wednesday and some other fun content on Fridays.  I want to try blog prompts and interact with authors more.

In a few days, I will know the status of my health situation and from there I will be able to quell the anxiety I have been feeling for the past 3 weeks and focus more on life.  I hope you all will bear with me.  I have to give you my Best of 2017, what I have planned to read in 2018, and reviews of the books I finished up at the end of last year.

I thank you all for visiting my blog, 2017 was my most successful so far, adding 10 new followers and getting nearly half of all visitors last year alone and I've been blogging for 3.5 years now.  So I hope you will continue to read my posts and tell your friends.  I look forward to sharing my 2018 reading experience with you all.

At the beginning of this month, I posted that I had reached 1000 views on my blog in almost a year.  I was so happy to reach that milestone.  Now, in less than a month I am up over 2000 views.  To me, that is absolutely amazing!!

So thank you to everyone who has shared my page, retweeted my reviews, clicked my link on Goodreads or however you found me!!  I hope that you will continue to read what I post and I hope to post even more this year!!

I've Reached 1000+ Views!!

First of all, I want to thank all of you who have taken a few minutes to check out my blog.  Whether you have liked it or hated it, at least you took the time.  My intentions when I started was to post a lot more than I have thus far, but there is this little thing called life that gets in the way sometimes.

I know that my reviews may not be the most interesting, but I try to tell everyone exactly how I feel.  I'm thankful to all of the authors who have given me their books in exchange for my review and who have allowed me to share their books with my audience.  Those authors include, but aren't limited to: Vince Milam, Jenni Boyd, Russell Brooks, Ty Patterson, Story Cartel, and Blogging for Books.  You all have helped to expand my bookshelf and my mind.  For those of you, who I did not include, please know, it's not for lack of appreciation, these are just the most recent authors I have read.  I also want to think my other book bloggers as many of you have provided me with the inspiration to keep this going even though you may not know it.

Reading and writing are my favorite things to do, and it has always been my dream to be a book reviewer.  Whether or not, I'm good at it, I really enjoy it and that makes it much more enjoyable for me.  I hope to be able to post more non-review posts this year and hopefully gain a bigger audience.   I've tried the blog thing before, but this is the first time I've actually done what I wanted to do with it.

The blog has been active for less than a year, and so far I'm very happy with how it's come along and how I've been able to keep up.  My most view post was my review of Ruby by Cynthia Bond  I read it last summer, and now it has been selected as Oprah's 2.0 Book Club selection.
